This Privacy Policy explains how Mech On Wheels ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
• Vehicle information: make, model, year, and related details for vehicles you save to your account.
• Issue photos and videos: images or video you upload describing a vehicle issue, used for AI diagnosis and shared with your selected mechanic.
• Location data: your location and your mechanic's location while a service request is active, to enable live tracking, ETA, and dispatch.
• Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Messages: chat messages exchanged between customers and mechanics through the Service.
• Service history: quotes, bookings, invoices, ratings, and reviews associated with your account.
• Device and usage data: device identifiers, app version, and diagnostic/crash data collected automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To generate AI-assisted issue diagnoses, cost estimates, and quotes.
• To connect you with mechanics, process bookings, and enable live service tracking.
• To process payments and send invoices.
• To communicate with you about your bookings, and to enable in-app messaging with your mechanic.
• To maintain the safety, security, and reliability of the Service.

4. AI Processing

When you describe an issue and upload photos or video, that content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a diagnosis, cost estimate, and suggested quote. Anthropic processes this content solely to return a response to the Service and does not use it to train its models under our agreement with them. Do not upload images or descriptions containing sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to describe the vehicle issue.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share information with:

• Mechanics you select, to fulfill your service request (issue details, photos, location, and vehicle information).
• Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI diagnosis), and our authentication and hosting providers.
• Legal authorities where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mech On Wheels, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and service history data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Completed and cancelled service records are kept as an immutable service history and cannot be deleted through the app.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may access, update, or request deletion of your account information by contacting us at privacy@mechonwheels.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, through the app.
